Cupcake #161 **sold**

Sultry, that just seems to be the word that fits, perhaps even moody. Odd choices, I must admit when talking about a cupcake painting. But all that sinful dark chocolate seems to be hiding a secret, the icing has those red undertones, is that a hint of cherry? I certainly hope so! The background is a deep clean blue that leans just a bit towards purple. What a wonderful combination, enjoy!

What a sweet thing! A swirl of spring green icing topped with a pink fondant bow. Perfect for the little girl in all of us! The background is strawberry pink, to complement the green. Enjoy this beautiful spring day!

Cupcake #159 **sold**

Double white chocolate, need I say more? Probably not, but here goes...white chocolate chips on top of white chocolate icing, a grown up treat. Surrounded by a beautiful mossy green background. This piece plays well with many others, especially deep blue, or red backgrounds, even a warm taupe, or chocolate brown. This little cupcake doesn't need to stay in the kitchen, bring a smile to the powder room, or a guest room. The colors will work anywhere! Enjoy!

Cupcake #158 **sold**

Well, let's hear it for the red, white, and blue! Luscious blueberries, whipped cream, and a fire engine red background, this little cupcake has it all. And it's not even the 4th of July! Enjoy! I have to send Scott up the studio stairs to get something fresh ready for tomorrow!

Cupcake #157 **sold**

Today's cupcake, a combination of chocolate and strawberry is sitting pretty on a golden wheat colored background. The cup is a warm pink, and the fudge icing just sparkles. And the fresh strawberry on top finishes it off right. A warm hello to all the new cupcake fans we met in Birmingham AL this weekend, welcome aboard!

Cupcake #156 **sold**

Today we have a traditional little cupcake, topped with a pretty rose. The green edge on the cup matches the bright green leaves. The background is a soft neutralized mauve. This may be a good time to remind you that Mother's Day is coming! Have a great day, and we'll see you on Monday!

Cupcake #155 **sold**

A simple vanilla cupcake, piled high with frosting, and sprinkles! Sprinkles are amazing, little dots of color, that don't taste like much, but almost everybody loves them! Surrounded by a deep blue that is almost the color of wild violets. Well, the wild violets that grow in my yard anyway! Enjoy, and we'll see you tomorrow for a Saturday cupcake!

Cupcake #154 **sold**

Scott likes to call this "the exploding cupcake." With whipped cream flying out in all directions it seems pretty obvious why! This is actually another version of the margarita cupcake, topped with little bits of lime. It is also decked out in a fancy green and cream cup, and is surrounded by an orange the color of fresh cantaloupe. Yum! Cupcakes for tomorrow and Saturday will probably post earlier than usual, as we will be off at a show in Birmingham AL, but we will keep 'em coming!

Cupcake #153 **sold**

Scott and I affectionately call this "The King and I" cupcake. As it looks like something the King of Siam may have worn! Layers of purple peaks, topped with an edible (we hope) pearl. Starting with chocolate, and surrounded by a teal or turquoise blue, this cupcake definitely sits at the cool side of the color wheel. We'll see you tomorrow!

Cupcake #152 **sold**

OK, here we have cupcake #152, such a girlie little thing, I love it! Swirls of icing make a bouquet of pink roses. Sitting in a fancy pink cup and surrounded by a taupe background, it is as sweet as it can be! This was scanned on a different scanner than usual, the shiny surface reflects more than I like, but you get the idea!

Cupcake #151 **sold**

Chocolate, pecans, whipped cream, sounds like heaven to me! This cupcake, piled high with goodies, is surrounded by an intense chartreuse green. No wallflower here, this little baby will be noticed! Enjoy, and keep checking back this week, the new yummies coming down the studio stairs are looking great!

Cupcake #150 **sold**

In contrast to the blue cupcake, this one is surrounded by blue's complimentary color, orange! This is a lovely warm colored piece, even though I teased Scott that the sprinkles look like Lucky Charms! But really all those scattered colors will make this piece work with a variety of colors, pair it with a red, or blue, it will all work. And the background is the color of pumpkin, or sweet potatoes, or the paint on my Dad's '54 Chevy! Enjoy!

Cupcake #149 **sold**

Ooh, what a deep delicious moody blue cupcake! Chocolate and raspberries surrounded by an almost pure ultramarine blue. Blue is one of those colors that has an amazing range, from turquoise through teal past this shade where it almost turns purple. And I love the shine on that fudge icing! Have a great day!

Cupcake #148 **sold**

Neutral brown and blue jean blue have always been a favorite color combination of mine. This yummy little cupcake is topped with rich cream cheese icing and pecans. This is one of the few cupcakes that would fit right in a little boy's room! Who says cowboys don't like cupcakes! Cheers!

Cupcake #147 **sold**

Wow, cupcake #147 is a beauty! Simple, yet really sophisticated. A chocolate cake, topped with white sprinkles on white icing, surrounded by a deep warm grey, the color of asphalt. A contemporary wedding cupcake, or silver anniversary? Something this neutral will play well with any cupcakes in a grouping, hot pink? Lime green? Go for it!

Cupcake #146 **sold**

I think this must be a raspberry truffle cupcake. Chocolate cake topped with layers of whipped cream, swirled with more chocolate and raspberry. The background is a soft wheat color, the perfect complement to cupcake #145! Enjoy your day, and we'll be back tomorrow with another double cupcake day!

Cupcake #145 **sold**

A simple vanilla cupcake covered in a rainbow of pastel colored sprinkles. Surrounded by a polka dotted pale lilac background to echo the shape of the sprinkles. A sweet little piece that is sure to make someones day. Enjoy!

Cupcake #144

You just can't go wrong with chocolate and strawberry! Showing off in it's fancy little cup, and piled high with fudge icing with a topping of strawberry jam, this one makes my mouth water! Surrounded by a peach background that reminds me of sherbet, this little cupcake would be a great addition to any collection. Enjoy, and we'll see you tomorrow with two more!

Cupcake #143 **sold**

We're back! And after a week away may we present a sweet mocha cupcake surrounded by a soft sage green. A simple little piece that will hang nicely just about anywhere, bring a little smile to that quiet little corner in the living room, or the office! And in keeping with our promise of two cupcakes a day for this week, it's time for me to move on to cupcake #144!

Cupcake #142 **sold**

Good morning everyone! Cupcake #142 is is piled high with fudge icing, whipped cream, and topped with a fresh raspberry. The background is a shimmery hummingbird red, a combination of fuchsia and coral that practically glows.
After 142 back to back cupcakes, we need to take a short "Spring Break." No panic, we will be back one week from today, and Scott has promised to do double duty for a week. So hang in there, and next week you'll be getting double barrel cupcakes. I'll send out an email to all on our email list to remind you that we're back! **Phew** I feel better already!

Cupcake #141 **sold**

Scott came down the stairs with this new little treasure, a Boston Creme cupcake! With a super shiny chocolate glaze, and it's sporty green cup, it's perfect! Surrounded by a striking hot pink background, this piece will brighten the dullest of spots! We are off to Texas, (again) this time we'll be at Main St. Fort Worth, drop on by if you're in town. The cupcake schedule is likely to be a little sporadic for the next few days, but we'll do our best! Cheers!

Cupcake #140 **sold**

Add a handle, and a cupcake becomes an Easter basket! Toss in a little green colored shredded coconut, and a handful of Easter eggs, and this is what you get! This little painting has all the colors of the rainbow. Hope it brings you a touch of spring wherever you are!

Cupcake #139 **sold**

All I can think of when I look at this cupcake is strawberries. The color of the icing is that luscious warm pink you'd get from crushed strawberries. A little different from the almost purple hue raspberries give. Topped with not one, but two cherries, this one is sure to send you out to the local bakery. Or into the kitchen to create your own! Cheers!

Cupcake #138 **sold**

I just don't know what to say, but Happy April Fool's Day! We have been waiting forever to put this cupcake up, I hope it makes you giggle. And I think Scott has really out done himself this time, it's beautifully painted right down to the crinkly cellophane wrapper. Once #138 is sold, it's gone. But if you miss it, and want Scott to paint another just for you (they will all vary slightly, and won't be part of the numbered edition), email me before midnight tonight, and he'll do another. Have a great day!
