Cupcake #359 **sold**

A shot of pure warm color to get you on your feet! The deep pure red of the strawberries is surrounded by it's neighbor on the color wheel, orange. But don't miss all the subtle color in the cream, blues, a hint of red reflecting... Enjoy!

Cupcake #348 **sold**

Layers of chocolate and cream are topped with a fresh raspberry. Surrounded by a background that would have once been called "dusty rose." A warm, slightly neutralized pink, it makes the chocolate sing, and the white of the cream pop! Enjoy, only 17 more to go!

Cupcake #337 **sold**

What a beautiful, fresh looking cupcake! Strawberry slices on top, and little bits of chopped strawberry dotted around the edges, cream filling and whipped cream, this one has it all! The background is a pale celery green to make the pale pinks in the cupcake shine. Don't let this one get away!

Cupcake #312 **sold**

Everything's coming up roses! Chocolate, cupcake, cookie, cream, and a cherry, all those c's make for one pretty cupcake, and are a definite threat to my waistline! Toss in the funky polka dotted background, and this would certainly brighten someones day. Cheers!

Cupcake #285 **sold**

What can I say about a banana cupcake? Bananas are the comedians of fruit, there's the never ending slip on a banana peel, and who hasn't shot someone with a banana "gun?" But this simple banana cupcake, piled with the fruit and cream seems to hardly entice a giggle. Even though it's surrounded by a beautiful banana yellow! So here's a treat for the banana lovers, or even the lovers of bright yellow, have a great day!

Cupcake #278 **sold**

Yay! We're back, sorry for leaving you cupcake-less for so long!
#278 is a snow white cupcake scattered in chocolate chunks. Topped with not one but two green maraschino cherries, to match the green paper cup. I'd like to know what was going on in the head of whoever decided bleaching the color out of cherries and dying them green was a cool thing to do! The warm sunset background surrounds the cupcake, making the chocolate seem a little warmer, and the green just a little more outrageous!

Cupcake #256 **sold**

Here's a new one for the fruit fans! Blueberries and a raspberry top this simple vanilla cupcake. The background is a bright spring green. This piece would play nicely with others with taupe backgrounds, or even tangerine!

Cupcake #247 **sold**

Life is just a bowl of berries! There is no better way to dress up a simple vanilla cupcake than load it up with the color of berries. Surrounded by a soft strawberry smoothie pink, this is a sweet reminder you to eat your fruits and vegetables! Enjoy!

Cupcake #224 **sold**

I love the contrast between the deep blue and bright green in this piece. The blueberries have that soft dusty color that you see when picked fresh. All sitting in a swirl of vanilla frosting, and dressed up with a matching blue cup. Cheers!

Cupcake #218

Today's cupcake is covered in crushed pecans and bits of caramel, then smothered in whipped cream. It can hardly get any better than that! The sunny yellow background just makes me smile. I can see this sitting on the window sill in a little country kitchen. You know these don't have to be hung on the wall, they sit up just fine on their own. Put a string of them in a window, or along a mantle. No matter where they are, they'll get noticed!

Cupcake #181 **sold**

OK, this is just pretty. Chocolate, cherries, whipped cream, it has it all. The background is a polka dotted soft khaki. And if you ever wonder what it's like working full time with your artist husband in the same studio you'll have to take a peek at my latest painting. You may just see a little cross pollination of ideas going on! We are currently debating who is the best painter of cherries... Have a great day!

Cupcake #173 **sold**

I've been looking at this cupcake all morning wondering just what it is about the combination of yellow red and white that I like so much. It just hit me...France... this is a traditional french Provencal color palette. Go to the South of France (where Scott and I met 14 years ago) and you'll find tablecloths and napkins, and pottery all decked out in these fabulous colors! But if you can't get there anytime soon, sit back and enjoy this beautiful cupcake!

Cupcake #171 **sold**

I love magenta, fuchsia, or hot pink, and this little cupcake has lots of it! Red currants top this little number, although I'm pretty sure you wouldn't eat them raw, they do provide plenty of color punch. If it weren't for the little sliver of cake that shows, this would be a monochromatic painting. That is one color plus shades or tints made with black and white. But that touch of yellow, just helps it shine! Cheers!

Cupcake #168 **sold**

A new fruit! Two slices of mango top this little cupcake, and it's surrounded by a pure polka dottie red, that practically leaps off the wall. To the human eye, warm colors like oranges and reds seem to "come forward" where as cool colors like blues and greens recede. An optical illusion that is used extensively in the real world, this is why stop signs and fire trucks are red, same with having a red piece of cloth hanging off the back of the last log on a logging truck! If you have a collection of cupcakes, you'll want a few bright red ones scatted throughout, this will help the eye move around the group, and make for a pleasing composition. Or if this will be your only cupcake, it will definitely get noticed in a room! Enjoy!

Cupcake #154 **sold**

Scott likes to call this "the exploding cupcake." With whipped cream flying out in all directions it seems pretty obvious why! This is actually another version of the margarita cupcake, topped with little bits of lime. It is also decked out in a fancy green and cream cup, and is surrounded by an orange the color of fresh cantaloupe. Yum! Cupcakes for tomorrow and Saturday will probably post earlier than usual, as we will be off at a show in Birmingham AL, but we will keep 'em coming!

Cupcake #151 **sold**

Chocolate, pecans, whipped cream, sounds like heaven to me! This cupcake, piled high with goodies, is surrounded by an intense chartreuse green. No wallflower here, this little baby will be noticed! Enjoy, and keep checking back this week, the new yummies coming down the studio stairs are looking great!

Cupcake #142 **sold**

Good morning everyone! Cupcake #142 is is piled high with fudge icing, whipped cream, and topped with a fresh raspberry. The background is a shimmery hummingbird red, a combination of fuchsia and coral that practically glows.
After 142 back to back cupcakes, we need to take a short "Spring Break." No panic, we will be back one week from today, and Scott has promised to do double duty for a week. So hang in there, and next week you'll be getting double barrel cupcakes. I'll send out an email to all on our email list to remind you that we're back! **Phew** I feel better already!

Cupcake #136 **sold**

A mandarin orange slice and blueberries top this charming cupcake in it's snazzy blue cup. Orange and blue are complementary colors, as they sit opposite each other on the color wheel, and they make each other shine both visually, and in flavor! Surrounded by a clear baby blue, this will make a great addition to any cupcake collection. Enjoy!

Cupcake #123 **sold**

A chocolate cupcake crowned with a heap of whipped icing and a sprinkle of chocolate chips, pure heaven! Surrounded by a pale pink background to balance the blues and greens on the cup, this little piece is very versatile. It would pair well with another cupcake sitting on a taupe, blue or green background, or it would sit very happily on it's own. Speaking of sitting, did you know these pieces don't actually have to hang on a wall? They sit very nicely on there own on a table, windowsill, or in a bookshelf. See you tomorrow!

Cupcake #116 **sold**

Good morning from Tampa FL, I'm down here for the Gasparilla Arts Festival, so I'm posting cupcakes when I can! Today's is a beautiful raspberry on cream cupcake surrounded by a subtle taupe background. Perfect for the office, or wherever you want something that isn't too "girly." Taupe is one of those great neutral colors that works well with pretty much anything, and lets all the other colors sing! Enjoy!
