Cupcake #274 **sold*

Rooty tooty fresh 'n...you know the rest! Cherries, blueberries, and a slice of mandarin orange sit in a nest of creamy white icing. Surrounded by a peachy background, this is just a bit of cupcake heaven. Remember you can see Scott's cupcakes in person this Saturday in Atlanta. Send me an email if you'd like to attend the show, and I'll send you the details!

Cupcake #256 **sold**

Here's a new one for the fruit fans! Blueberries and a raspberry top this simple vanilla cupcake. The background is a bright spring green. This piece would play nicely with others with taupe backgrounds, or even tangerine!

Cupcake #212 **sold**

Ah, a sweet lemon cupcake! Topped with fresh blueberries, the lemon lime color is surrounded by a pale orange sorbet, or perhaps cantaloupe color. A delightful little piece to brighten up a room. Cheers!

Cupcake #136 **sold**

A mandarin orange slice and blueberries top this charming cupcake in it's snazzy blue cup. Orange and blue are complementary colors, as they sit opposite each other on the color wheel, and they make each other shine both visually, and in flavor! Surrounded by a clear baby blue, this will make a great addition to any cupcake collection. Enjoy!

Cupcake #64 **sold**

Okay, Okay Uncle we cried! This is the last cupcake before Christmas! We both have a daunting list of commissions and other things to do before the big day, so the Daily Cupcake is going to take a week off. We will be back, full of sprinkles, and cherries, and whatever else we can dream up on Monday Dec. 28th. The emergency cupcake hot line, however will still be open. If you were planning on giving a sweet cupcake painting, and just couldn't nab one in time, email me, we'll squeeze one in. In the meantime we leave you with a winner, berries and cream, on a bold red background. And don't forget, there are still a few available waaaay back in the archives, check out number 6, 41, and 59. See you on the 28th!

Cupcake #54 **sold**

Wow, this is the first cupcake we've posted that is so, well, orange! Unashamedly orange, the color of those little tins of mandarin oranges. Actually, I think it is really quite pretty, and orange is the complementary color to blue, right color theory fans? This would look fabulous in a neutral setting, or on olive green, or if you have a kitchen like ours, simply full of color! This is one of those paintings that I will miss when it goes!

Cupcake #49 **sold**

Mmmm, a blueberry cupcake with a cherry on top, what could be better! Scott used a primary triad on this piece, being variations on red yellow and blue, which makes for a well balanced composition. Almost as well balanced as that cherry! And with Thanksgiving burnout setting in, that's about the most clever description I can come up with! Enjoy!

Cupcake #42 **sold**

This cupcake totally amazes me. Somehow Scott has taken a subject that admittedly can be kind of feminine, did it up in blueberry and olive green, and now it looks so conservative it reminds me of business casual and button down collars. How did he do that? Really, that's pretty cool! The frosting has a touch of navy blue with three plump berries perched on top. The background is a great example of a neutralized color, olive green is made by mixing a bright green with a little of its complementary or opposite color on the color wheel. That would be red, so if you are a painter give that a try some time, and see the whole world of forest and mossy greens you can make when you add a touch of red!

Cupcake #8 **sold**

This one just makes me smile. A blueberry cupcake on a celery green background, with three berries perched on top. I love the way the icing swirls, although I'm not sure this would be the one I'd pick to eat! But as a piece of art, the colors are sooo modern, I'd definitely want this one in my collection!
