Cupcake #180 **sold**

Here's one for all the chocoholics out there, you know who you are! A simple vanilla cupcake to begin with, with a beautiful swirling mound of deep dark chocolate, finished with just the right amount of rainbow sprinkles. The background is a neutral taupe. This little number will play very well in a group, as the little flecks of color will help it work with more colorful pieces. Yet it is also so neutral it gives the eye a rest between the more intense colors. Enjoy!

Cupcake #116 **sold**

Good morning from Tampa FL, I'm down here for the Gasparilla Arts Festival, so I'm posting cupcakes when I can! Today's is a beautiful raspberry on cream cupcake surrounded by a subtle taupe background. Perfect for the office, or wherever you want something that isn't too "girly." Taupe is one of those great neutral colors that works well with pretty much anything, and lets all the other colors sing! Enjoy!

Cupcake #91 **sold**

Something about this little cupcake just makes me smile. It is both simple, and complex, at the same time. The colors are simple, pure white and red, but all the patterns make this an interesting piece. From the swirly design on the hearts, to more swirls in the icing, finishing with the tossed pattern of hearts on the cup. All on a neutral taupe background that makes this piece sing! Enjoy!

Cupcake #50 **sold**

Such a grown up cupcake, subtle, yet not simple. The colors are marvelous, chartreuse and taupe. One of the color theory lessons that I remember clearly from school was the question, "can you name 5 ways to change a color?" The answers were to add white (a tint) add black (a shade) add it's complement (to neutralize) add an analogous color which shifts the color entirely. But the tricky answer was "change the color around it." This is a great example of how the surrounding color affects the green, a deep neutral was chosen which allows the green to sing!
And for those who are really paying attention, there will be a perfect match to this one coming up in a couple of days! You'd think there would be a little more fanfare and horn blowing for the 50th cupcake! But this is the first of many milestones, so keep on checking in, and tell a friend!

Cupcake #34 **sold**

A plump little raspberry for all you fruit fans out there! Piles of pink icing, drizzles of chocolate, surrounded by a neutral taupe background. This would be a perfect fit for a fancy little powder room, or as the more neutral option in a colorful grouping. Color theory fans know that neutral colors give the eye a rest between brighter colors, and keep them from fighting for attention. Enjoy, and tell a friend!
