Cupcake #119 **sold**

Oh, chocolate, deep fudgey chocolate. You can tell the icing has to be thick and dense when it holds a sharp edge like this, and Scott has caught every highlight and shadow, taking your eye on a little journey through the swirls. All that surrounded by a beautiful canary singing at the top of his voice kind of yellow...with polka dots no less! Yellow is one of the few colors that has very little wiggle room, a bit too far in this direction and it looks green, and go the other way and it's orange. In fact, although I call the background here yellow, Scott has decided it is orange, we'll leave it for you to decide!

Cupcake #115 **sold**

This cupcake is showing off its complementary colors! Yellow and purple swirl together in a great floral shape. Complementary colors can be used to neutralize each other, add a bit of purple to yellow and you go from bright lemon to yellow ochre into deep mustard, but just a bit! Never underestimate the power of purple! Enjoy your day, I'll be posting Saturday's cupcake early tomorrow, and Monday, so be on the lookout!

This is sure to brighten someones day! Carrot cake, cream cheese icing, all on a sunny yellow background. I remember trying carrot cake as a child and being absolutely sure I wasn't going to like it. Carrots? in cake? ick. Silly girl! Have a great day!

Cupcake #105 **sold**

Oh so sweet! Such a simple little happy thing, I can see this cupcake in a little girl's room, making her smile. The pale yellow icing, robin egg blue background, and pinky peach sugar are all variations of the primary colors. And by using all three, (yes even a sprinkle of sugar counts), makes this a primary triad. A primary triad means all three primary colors are used, and a secondary triad is when all three secondary colors are used, they would be green, purple, and orange. Such a lot of talk for something so simple and pretty, enjoy!

This sunny yellow piece is sure to brighten someones day! A coconut cupcake surrounded by one of those colors that makes you a little happier just looking at it. This would be a great addition to a group, or for that matter a great piece to start a collection! Now while I have your attention, we have some announcements to make. Starting Monday we are going to start posting our daily cupcake a little later in the day, closer to noon EST to give the folks on the west coast a chance to wake up and have a coffee. That will even the playing field a little and give everyone a chance to get the cupcake of the day! And in case you haven't looked at your calendar lately, we only have 10 more cupcakes before Valentines day! And frankly, the last 5 will be a little iffy as far as getting them shipped in time. But we have other options, we will have gift certificates available for Valentine's, just email me for information. Or you could always take a peek in our zazzle store, the cupcake ties are fabulous! Just click here to see what we have!

OK, this is just to cute for words. I am practically wordless! Chocolate, a ladybug, and a yellow background that just sings about sunshine. I just love this one! Put it in your daughter's bedroom, the dining room, brighten up the kitchen, or even the office. The Office! This little painting could be an instant office stress reliever, it's certainly worth a try! Enjoy!

Cupcake #44 **sold**

Mmm, a lemon meringue cupcake, what a great idea! Surrounded by an antique robin's egg blue, this sunny little treat just shines, and would brighten up any room. Remember these are painted on a gallery wrapped canvas, and therefore stand up on their own, hanging is not required. They could sit on a windowsill, or end table, even in the china cabinet! This one is sure to make you smile, enjoy!

This is such a happy painting! A chocolate cupcake, not one of those fancy store bought ones, but one just like Mom, (or Mama, if you're from down here) used to make! Surrounded by a sunny yellow polka dottie background! Who didn't have a yellow kitchen at one time? How can you resist something that makes you smile so? Enough questions, have a bright, bright sunshiny day!

Oh, what a great Birthday gift! Perfect for that "have no idea what to get them" person in your life. I think even the grumpiest birthday boy or girl would have to crack a smile when they see this! And, it has no calories...or saturated fat for that matter! This one really does speak for itself, enjoy!

This little sweetie was completed late last night, and I liked it so much I put it at the front of the line! The blackberries remind me of home (Vancouver Island, B.C.) where they grow abundantly in the late summer. Can't you just taste it? This little 5" x 5" original acrylic on canvas is available for $110 including shipping.
